ANZAC
ANZAC is the annual neighbourhood workshop bringing together Junior Branch (JB) members from Australia and New Zealand.
ANZAC stands for Australia and New Zealand Annual Conference, offering a unique chance to connect across the Tasman, have fun, receive leadership and facilitation training, share ideas, grow our JB, and make decisions as a neighbourhood. The workshop is planned and facilitated by the NJRs of both countries with support from the liaising APJB (Asia Pacific Junior Branch) Team Member.
If you are an Aussie or Kiwi JB member, we want you! To attend, you must be 15 to 25 years old on the starting day of camp. ANZAC is held in December or January over the summer break.
Typically the hosting is alternated between New Zealand and Australia. This may not always follow a consistent pattern, the same country may host 2 years in a row. Participants from the non-hosting country will be picked up from the airport by a homestay family from their local chapter, and will stay with their homestay until the start of camp. This is a great way for the participants to meet somebody else from camp before it starts, and to see some of the local area before camp. Participants often stay for up to a few days after camp to hang out with their new friends and do lots of fun activities together.
